Music Editing

PDFPrintE-mail

After copying your music into a draft score we are able to read the printed music and hear it played back in full orchestral sound. At this stage we will be correcting wrong notes, adding or editing accidentals, dynamics, phrasing and adding tempo markings in order to play your music score with the appropriate characteristic details and style.

Further editing here will allow corrections of unsuitable harmonies, bass lines and other technical or typographical omissions - such as: repeats; D.C., D.S. and Coda signs; bar numbering and rehearsal figures. Composer, arranger, lyricist and copyright text may also be added at this stage. None of these edits will be finalised before you have heard the draft and had a chance to comment on it.

The best way to proceed then would be for you to visit us at JULIAN MUSIC to hear and discuss the work in draft form. The more practical way is for us to send you a printed draft score and demo audio CD by post or email

When you have checked, discussed and approved the draft with us, we will complete any alterations, additions or improvements you suggest and extract single instrumental parts from this working score and edit those for performance by your players. You will get one copy of each part - printed on A3 folded into booklet form - as part of the deal. Printing a quantity of extra parts for the initial order may need some cost negotiation with us.

A final Score and Parts will be printed and sent to you with an Invoice. Alternatively pdf or MIDI files can be emailed to you - which you will need to print and prepare for rehearsal and performance yourself.
